Replying to LO12378 --

>Imagine organisations (most of them) are made up of
>or divided into parts, like a human being : part of arm,
>part of leg, part of brain, eyes etc. etc.
>
>Imagine one part e.g. ARMS proclaims their commitment
>to Learning Organisation : learn, use, apply, ...the
>LO principles in their part / department.
>Will the Whole Body performs better,
>more effectively, more cohesively?

IMHO. Obviously not. But it might be not possible to apply LO principles
to an organisation as a whole at the same time. One starts with that
organisational units which are known as being open to new ideas. It then
depends on the innovative power of these LO-germ-cells if the whole
organisation buys-in this new way of thinking and working with one
another. The powerful help of senior management and suitable information
meetings, where employees are informed on the progress, will help to make
the organisation to a LO organisation.

>LO principles to be applied in PART? or WHOLE?

Summing up: apply it in PART to get the WHOLE!
