Since our congregation first gathered in 1669, Old South Church has
recognized that our Christian faith requires engagement in the world. From
hosting the rally that led to the Boston Tea Party to founding the City
Mission Society in 1806, from building affordable housing in Boston to
supporting the 2002 Justice for Janitors campaign, the Old South congregation
has been serving those in need and speaking out for justice in our community
for over 300 years.
The Old South Church remains active and dedicated to Christian service
and outreach. Our continued commitment to living out the Christian faith
by serving others and building a world of justice and peace takes shape
in the following ways.
We GIVE of our financial resources to those
in need.
