Diane Modock asks:
"Should a consultant use as a criterion of success that he become
dispensible, or become indispensible?"
It seems to me that the answer is neither. As a consultant I feel I am
successful when I am useful - useful in helping my clients discover the
anwers to their own questions. Then I will be dispensible for a while, at
least until they get stuck again at which time I will indispensible again.
