I also thought this was the best edition of FC since the inaugural one.
The sidebar with Hock's advice on management is especially interesting.
Also loved Barsotti's cartoon, depicting a pile of people on the ground,
with the one on the bottom saying into the phone "The computers are fine,
the staff has crashed". I've written FC suggesting they get deeper into
the debate on Communities of Practice. They (FC) are self-designated
subversives, and I can't imagine anything more subversive than the
recognition that the most important learning, communication, and cultural
evolutions in any organization occur within these "shadowy" (as Tom
Stewart calls them) unofficial groups. Perhaps there should be some
permanent electronic "link" between FC and LO-- it would be a powerful and
wonderfully dangerous partnership.
