You may be familiar with Marvin Weisbord's work on "future search"
conferences...as based on similar work by Emery/Trist and others. But his
latest book with Sandra Janoff (Future Search: An Action Guide to Finding
Common Ground in Organizations and Communities, Berrett-Kohler, 1995) is
one of the most explicitly presented guides to the dos and don'ts of a
large group, participative planning design that I have ever seen. I
recommend it highly.
