That's such an important point, that the KJ method is quite strict on the
matter of what is called "scrubbing". After silent periods where
participants write their notes to be posted comes the most critical aspect
of the entire technique: clarification (scrubbing) of the notes so that
each is udnerstood and is roughly at the same level of abstraction.

Were it not for the care in scrubbing and its associated explications, the
KJ would be useless.
