The Newburyport Current has an article on the plover warden orientation session. Jean's sense of humor steals the show! Y'know we all only do it to hear Jean's jokes. :-) The article uses my story about the screaming man, one of those great moments in plover wardening. Less common than new age ritual dancers. Seriously. Several of us have encountered various new age ritual dancers, though mine didn't twirl -- she waved her arms around a lot. Once I had a woman who wanted to do some kind of a water ritual in the closed area of beach in order to help with the drought and fires in California. There are a million stories on 6 miles of beach...
