Today's Reading: My Generation by Sarah Anna Emery

2001 Book List

What with brooms spontaneously leaping from the wall rack and flinging themselves at us, more opening and closing of doors than a French bedroom farce, and a couple of extra people on hand, it's a madhouse. It's a mad, mad, mad cat house. We kept bumping into each other. There just isn't room for people and cats and towels and litter boxes. Three people bumped into Bob while he was trying to get a mop from the wall rack in the laundry room prompting him to exclaim "I had more room in a submarine!" Couldn't have put it better myself. And when the broom came flying at us from the laundry room I found myself exclaiming "Sacre mojique!" right along with Roy. But in the midst of it all Sandy slept on one dryer and Miss Newburyport on the other having achieved a state of peaceful coexistence.

And yes, we have new cats today. And you can meet them right here.

Achilles is a long-haired male who came to us as a stray. He's between 1 and 3 years old. Achilles is an affectionate and friendly cat who enjoys being petted and is OK with children and dogs. However, he would prefer to be an only cat or paired with a cat who will let him be the dominant cat. Achilles must be an indoor cat.

Kinsey is a 9 year old short-haired female who was given up to us. Affectionate and friendly, although mildly timid, she enjoys being petted. To watch her run around the shelter, you would never guess she is 9 years old. Kinsey prefers a quiet home with adults and older children and without other pets.

Kiara is 4 year old short-haired female who was given up to us. She's a real lap cat, very sweet. She enjoys being petted and especially enjoys having her head rubbed. Kiara also loves to play with toys.

Pumpkin is a real lap cat. She's 14+ years old and declawed so will need to be an indoor cat. She's a real lap cat who loves being petted. Pumpkin is good with children and OK with dogs.

Seamus is a lively and spirited short-haired male who was given up to us. He likes being petted but does not like to be held. Seamus will need patience and some extra time to adjust. He is declawed.

Seamus reminds me of Wilbur. He's very vocal and demands attention of all humans in the vicinity at all times. He lives for attention.
