Incoming calls to (508) 475-0219 are screened by Caller ID. We regret this restrictive communication policy, but the unending flow of telemarketing calls targeting our late, beloved Anne was a serious bummer.
Our normal policy is to pick up any call that displays a ###-###-#### identification string, and to let the answering machine answer other calls. The answering machine is not near the telephone, so we do not usually pick up calls once they've been routed to the answering machine.
We suggest that you enable Caller ID identification before calling us. If this is not feasible, please accept our apologies, and we will make every effort to return your call as soon as possible.
We are also looking for voice-response systems that interoperate with CLID units. Our ideal system would ring ###-###-#### calls on the telephone handset at least eight times before activating voice mail; we would also like to be able to assign incoming and outgoing voice mailboxes, and to let authenticated mailbox callers ring through to the handset in lieu of CLID authentication.
