Salsa rocks. Not the chip dip you chow-hounds, the music. Follow these simple steps to effortless cheer:

  1. Get a computer, preferably with high speed access
  2. Install Limewire and do a search for 'salsa'
  3. Download everything that comes up. Look out for St. Germaine's "Soul Salsa Soul" and "Me Libere" by El Gran Combo
Don't wait, do it. Why postpone....

Ahhh, I can't be such a bitah.

Oh, don't you know I'm human
I've got my faults, just like anyone
Sometimes I sit around alone, regretting
Some foolish thing
Some sinful thing I've done

Some things are harder than I ever imagined. That's all I can say about that.

Read this in the Metro:

Ari Fleisher, White House spokesman, when asked about a New York Times story concerning definitive plans for a military engagement with Iraq

"Long-standing American policy is regime change... "

This statement smacks of the swelling arrogance with which our government conducts and discusses foreign policy. The implicit tone here is that sovereign nations around the world are merely squares on America's global chessboard. I recall our fearless leader's remarks about 'putting all nations on notice'. Is it just me or does that sound like a middle school principal addressing an auditorium of delinquent children? I think this arrogance is no small ingredient in our regrettable relations with the peoples of the middle east and we will continue to pay the price for it. The horror of Sept. 11th may just be the first item on the butcher's bill of our economic imperialism.
