Some dialog from Trading Places

In the 1983 movie Trading Places, two financiers undertake to explain commodities trading to an uneducated street person, played by Eddie Murphy. They begin by seating him at a table, laid with breakfast.

William Valentine: No thanks, guys, I already had breakfast this morning.
Randolph: This is not a meal, Valentine. We are here to try to explain to you what it is we do here.

We are commodities brokers, William. Now, what are commodities? Commodities are agricultural products, like coffee that you had for breakfast, wheat, which is used to make bread, pork bellies, which is used to make bacon, which you might find in a bacon and lettuce and tomato sandwich.

At this point, Murphy breaks the 4th wall and looks directly into the camera. His expression is deadpan, but seems to convey a mixture of disbelief and exasperation at being spoken to in such terms.
