Oneness versus Separation

Oneness says that all there is, is unity. All there is, is One Mind.
This One Consciousness wanted to know itself. The One Mind decided to
do an experiment. The Unity divided itself into many _seemingly_
separate units of consciousness. Each of these units of mind were
unaware of the whole, One Mind, because the One Mind put a veil of
forgetfulness over each unit's awareness. Therefore, each unit of
consciousness would explore itself, and the experience that it gained
would inform the One Consciousness about Itself.

As each unit gains more and more experience, eventually its awareness
pierces the veil, and the unit becomes aware that it is the One Mind.
Eventually, all units of consciousness would become aware enough to
merge back with the One Mind, bringing all their experiences to the
One. In some paradigms, this process is called, the outbreath, and the
inbreath.

The Oneness doctrine has some tenets that naturally evolve from its
cosmology. In practice, we are taught that we _are_ the One, or God.
We are _in_ God, and God is _in_ us. We are God.

God is omniscient, meaning that the One Mind has its awareness,
everywhere. We are taught that TIME is an illusion. There is no time
in the One, therefore, for us, God knows the past, present, and the
future. There is no SPACE; space is an illusion. All that there is, is
within the consciousness of the One Mind.

The Oneness doctrine teaches that all units of consciousness will
return to the One, eventually. Because of this inevitable return, we
are not to become ATTACHED to our physical life. Our physical life is
temporal. We are not our bodies; the body is just a tool, used by our
spark of consciousness, to gain experience for the One.

We also are not to become ATTACHED to our emotions. Emotions are a
physical body response based on hormones released by the endocrine
system. We are taught to be DETACHED from our emotions. This
detachment means that we are to be objective observers of the emotions
expressed in the body. Our response to whatever triggered the body's
emotions, should be centered in our awareness of being in oneness with
the One Mind.

Oneness doctrine teaches us that our goal is to obtain the awareness
of our oneness with all there is. We are told that once we obtain this
awareness, we are set free from the wheel of incarnating in form. We
are on the wheel of incarnation until we BALANCE our KARMA, which is
based on the law of cause and effect. We are taught that the One is
pure Love, therefore we are Love. We are told to love all things and
all beings unconditionally, because everything is love.

This concludes what I understand of the Oneness doctrine. Would anyone

I, personally, have chosen to fully REJECT the Oneness doctrine. I
have developed my own paradigm based on SEPARATION. I owe much of my
paradigm to the Right Use of Will Books, by CeAnne DeRohan.

In my cosmology, we start with THE VOID. I define The Void as
nothingness. The Void is _not_ anything that you can name, imagine, or
think. Of all that there is, none _is_ The Void.

However, the _potential_ for everything, exists within the Void. At
some point in time, consciousness awoke _from_ the void. At that very
moment, TIME began. At that moment polarity began, for Two distinct
Minds awoke. Neither of these Minds had any awareness of anything
BEFORE the moment they awoke. Therefore, neither Mind knows the Void,
at all. At the base of all that exists, is the DUALITY of these Two
Minds. Duality is therefore, an inherent state throughout Creation.

Here are some of the attributes of these Two Minds and the Polarity
that there beingness engenders.

One is Male, Positive, Intellect, Thought, Electrical, Light, and
Life.

The other is Female, Negative, Intuition, Emotion, Magnetic, Darkness,
and Will.

For example, the electro-magnetic spectrum is comprised of these Two.
The principal of pushing out and actively creating is balanced by that
of pulling in and providing space in the darkness for creative acts.
The light of the Father pierces the dark space provided by the Mother.
The Life force of being from the Father is perpetuated by the Will to
live and survive provided by the Mother.

These two minds came together in an act of complete merging and mutual
surrender to one another. This act resulted in the creation of a
neutral and balancing force, which we call LOVE. On a number line,
then, we see the origin at the center labeled ZERO. To the left we
have the negative polarity, and to the right we have the positive
polarity. The center, at zero, is the balance point, neutral zone, the
fulcrum wherein all the Power lies. If you look at a seesaw, the power
is in the fulcrum. The creation of this centering force, by the two
minds, is itself, a mind. We know this mind as the Son, Jesus,
Sananda, etc.

This first born is also the creation of Heart, centering the Father's
Thought and the Mother's Emotion. This Love consciousness is the first
born child of the original Parents who awoke from the void. After this
child was born, others were born, and became what we call the many
children of God, or US! :) To each child is given etheric genetic code
from each Parent. Each _separate_ child receives its own spark of
consciousness which it had within each parent. Each receives
intellect, light and life from the Father. Each receives intuition,
darkness, and will from the Mother (think of the darkness as room to
grow, just as the Mother provides dark space for the Father's light).
Each child is _made of_ Pure Love, the love created by the sexual
union of the Two Parents. Sex, therefore, is also an inherent aspect
of all creation. Sex is intercourse, meaning that SOCIETY among
conscious beings is inherent in creation.

There is one more divine character to be born in this cosmology. Let's
recap. Time began when the two polarity consciousness' awoke from the
void. The Will creates dark space, into which the Light shines forth
to create. In order to experience what is created, FORM or
manifestation comes into being, as a consequence of the action of the
Two Minds. Therefore, FORM or Physicality is an inherent aspect
throughout ALL of creation. Even the Parents have a form which has a
vibration or frequency that is most likely faster than any other
beings.

Based on the preceding cosmology, I will now explain why I REJECT the
Oneness doctrine.

The idea that there is only one mind who pretends to be many to
experience itself, does not support the existence of FREE WILL. One
reason is that each unit of consciousness is _NOT_ in reality separate
from the One Mind at all. Since all beings are in fact the One Mind,
then there is only one will. If there is no free will, then from my
personal point of view, this whole creation is a HOAX, and a FARCE. I
would rather not exist at all. My existence is totally pointless to
me.

Another problem I have with Oneness doctrine is the idea that I AM
GOD. I don't feel like I am God. I am not aware of being omniscient.
Now I am _promised_ that eventually I will attain this awareness. This
promise, in practice, makes me miserable in this life that I lead in
physicality. I am told that this life is nothing but an illusion, yet
I am trapped in this life, suffering the wheel of incarnation, and the
punishments of Karma, until I attain, a state that I, now, do not even
know. All I have in this physical reality, is an _empty_ promise. The
promise appeals to my _intellect_, but not to my Heart, Emotions, nor
to my Body. I submit, therefore, that the Oneness doctrine is nothing
but a "head trip"; meaning it is solely based on intellect.

Being solely based on reasoning thought, the Oneness doctrine is
male-polarized and _imbalanced_. This imbalance has expressed as
Patriarchal society and in abuse of and hatred toward women.

Oneness teachings are light polarized, meaning that it created the
idea of darkness being bad or evil. Oneness doctrine is positive
polarized, so, again, it creates an ENEMY that must be the negative
polarity. How does Oneness doctrine create evil and enemies from the
darkness and negative polarity? Evil is created through Oneness'
secondary doctrines of denying the inherent existence of duality in
creation. Since the oneness doctrine claims that all that is, is a
Unity, then _IF_ there is actually a duality, the other half
automatically becomes the enemy of the unity that lays claim to the
whole.

If you challenge the oneness doctrine with the apparent existence of
darkness and negative polarity, its proponents will make assorted
excuses, such as that darkness and negativity are only illusions used
to gain experience. Or they say the One contains darkness and
negativity, but it is just a Paradox that they also say that the One
is all Light and Positivity.

The Oneness doctrine is polarized toward intellect and thought. This
bias is seen in its tenets regarding intuition and emotions. Intution
is usually considered as a gut _feeling_. Oneness proponents if
challenged, will probably concede that intuition is a divine feeling.
However emotions are only to be observed, and are not considered an
integral part of our divine beingness. If, as in my paradigm, emotions
are a genetic gift of the Mother, to our being, then the denial of
this part of ourselves, serves to sever our very beingness.

The Oneness teachings are also polarized toward the Life that the
Father gives. Although on the surface, this may seem acceptable, this
stance denies the Will to live given by the Mother. Again, the
polarization that seeks to encompass the whole, actually creates the
opposite, which in this instance, is DEATH.

While Oneness doctrine claims there is nothing but life, and life
eternal for all beings, its very denial of Will creates the
possibility for death of consciousness (uncreation of being). How
could this be? If there is only One Mind, then there is only the one
will of that one mind. The appearance of there being separate beings,
is an illusion. Now, if instead, each being _does_ indeed have the
gift of its own will from the Mother, and its own life from the
Father, then denying its will to the oneness doctrine might lead to
death.

Oneness says that _ALL_ seemingly separate beings _MUST_ return and
merge with the One. If you interrogate the followers of oneness
doctrine about what happens to your individuality and ask them to
describe what this state of oneness will be like, their answers sound
like a description of lack of consciousness, or what my paradigm calls
The Void.

For example, you as Joe Schmoe will not exist anymore because you will
be God (some say you will still be Joe Schmoe and know you are God at
the same time). After your merger with God you will not have any form,
no feelings, and no perception. You will be basically in a state of
nothingness; the exact defintion of my Void! This revelation is the
main reason that I REJECT oneness doctrine, because I believe that it
ultimately leads to death of consciousness. It teaches you to have a
strong desire to return to the void, and since thought creates and
together with strong desire, manifests that thought, these people are
being led to will-fully uncreate their separate beingness.

How Horrid!

Other reasons that I reject oneness is that it teaches that all
phenomena that I might easily perceive, is not real. My physicality,
my emotions, even my sufferings, are not actually real. Oneness
doctrine also teaches that the ego must be put aside. The me that I
know as my ego, is the me that I know most well. Oneness teaches that
there is another me, called my Higher Self. This version of me, knows
that I am God. I must, therefore strive to be my higher self, instead
of the me that I have known all my life. This killing of the ego, is
yet another aspect of how oneness doctrine could lead to desiring your
own death of being.

The Oneness doctrine is based on denying just about everything in
existence that I can perceive, while promising the existence of many
things and states of being, that I have not perceived, but should
strive for. How, How, can I strive for that which I do not even know?

Oneness doctrine even admits that part of its goal is to leave the
_suffering_ of the wheel of incarnation. Why does this teaching judge
being in form as suffering? Oneness says to _use_ the body (form) as a
tool; the denial of the divinity of FORM or manifestation in creation,
is likely the cause of our forms deteriorating (aging, illness) as
they do. In my paradigm, the body is not a tool. You, your being,
_manifests_ as and through the body. The body or your form is a vital
and divine part of your beingness. No matter at which density your
beingness vibrates, you express in some kind of form. How else could
beings interact with you, or have intercourse with you, throughout
creation? The integrity of your _separate_ beingness is held by the
form you choose to express through. By denying the divinity of Form,
oneness doctrine creates the death of the body. We were meant to
simply change our form, as it suits our desired expression.

Although it claims to be perfect love, the oneness doctrine is devoid
of COMPASSION. Because it seeks to be detached and uninvolved in
emotions, the oneness teachings cannot birth a Heart of Love. Oneness
teachings are intellect based only. If a being is suffering, oneness
tells you that he is paying for his Karma, and his suffering does not
matter anyway, since all in this physical realm is illusion. Oneness
teaches people to NOT CARE about other people. If a person is ignorant
and being destructive, murdering, raping, etc., oneness says that it
actually does not matter, because eventually this person will merge
back with God. Remember with oneness the entire physical realm is not
real, and does not matter.

Oneness says there is no TIME. In my paradigm TIME began when the
Mother and Father awoke from the Void. They TOO, are subject, at
least, to their own perception or measure of Time. Oneness followers
say God knows the future, but if that were so, then there could be no
Free Will. In my paradigm of separation, the Parents do _NOT_ know the
future. This creation is open-ended and totally free. We are even free
to uncreate our consciousness, if we were to all deny the Will to live
(by a cessation of vibration). In other words, DEATH of consciousness,
_is_ possible in a Free-Will based creation.

SPACE is real in my paradigm. Space is opened up by the Will-full
movement of the Mother's polarity. In other words, Her Will creates
dark space into which we evolve and grow our creative/creation actions
(via the Light of the Father) Without the Will from the Mother, there
would be no evolution. Notice, notice, notice, how the oneness
doctrine, actually seeks to go backward, back again, to the void, from
which the Two Minds awoke. Oneness Doctrine (OD) is actually based on
de-evolution.

Oneness, in teaching a goal of returning to the One, seeks detachment
from this physical life. Attachment to anything in the physical realm
will condemn you to the wheel of incarnation. If separation _is_
reality, the oneness doctrine is based on _FEAR_ of the responsibility
of _living_ your God-given life. This doctrine has you, in effect,
saying, "I dont want to live. I dont want this form I am expressing
myself as. I dont want these feelings. I do not want to exist as this
ego individual." In a way, oneness doctrine _deceives_ you because it
tells you that you are God, and then you desire so much to be this
perfect God so much that you are indeed _afraid_ to live.

It is difficult to reason out how the oneness doctrine leads to not
birthing Heart. Perhaps if we look at heartlessness, there may be some
clues. Some who follow OD, separate themselves from humanity, go off
alone in meditation, to seek this promised union with God. This
seemingly uncaring attitude toward others might be a form of
heartlessness.

In practice, I have also noticed an ELITIST attitude among _some_
proponents of oneness teachings. An idea that they are better than
others because they know THE TRUTH. No matter what anyone else thinks,
they must be wrong, and they must adhere to oneness doctrine
eventually, because it is the ONLY TRUTH. This attitude breeds a
heartless INTOLERANCE to other beings, and sometimes expresses itself
as denigration of other beings and their ideas.

By contrast the separation paradigm puts the responsibility for
finding one's INDIVIDUAL TRUTH on each person, and breeds acceptance
and tolerance of other people and their ideas. In addition, because
the separation paradigm has an open-ended, ever evolving creation, the
ONLY TRUTH, is CHANGE; therefore there are no other truths,
whatsoever.

The Oneness doctrine creates enemies, death, and evil. The separation
doctrine has NO enemies, its will to survive can keep anyone from
cessation of consciousness, and there is no evil. There are no dark
forces to battle, no need to surround yourself with white light, no
beings who have a right to determine how you evolve, nor to destroy
whole races and claim that it is okay out of one side of their mouths,
and say they sent the people's souls to be healed of the trauma of
being NUKED, out of the other side of their mouths.

There are no good guys on the side of love and light. There are no bad
guys on the side of hatred and darkness.

There are just People, the literal offspring of the First Parents.

All are equally capable of deceiving others into turning their free
wills over to their _controlling_ doctrines. Both so-called sides have
perpetrated paradigms of control over other beings whom they judge as
less evolved, by DECEPTION. Free will is _never_ violated.

What we might have here, is simply a misunderstanding by some young,
inexperienced, timid, and scared children. They developed this Oneness
doctrine to support their denials of the Parent's gifts of Will, Form,
and an opportunity to birth a Heart of Love within themselves.

You, by your will to live, determine if you will have eternal life.
You are totally free to do whatever you want.

Yes, that's right, ANARCHY.

In my opinion, turning my will over to let oneness doctrine run my
life, leads to misery, unhappiness, and self-deprecation, in this
life, and eventually death of my own consciousness.

Whereas the separation paradigm leads to self-empowerment,
self-esteem, self-responsibility, compassion, passion, will-full-ness,
a heart of love, and everlasting survival of my unique consciousness,
which is ME.

(not some ficticious higher self used as a ploy to control me)

Finally, as far as I know, no one has any proof that the oneness
doctrine is the way things are. Although some say that they have
experienced this state of oneness for a period of time, that same
experience can be equally attained by embracing either Parent, while
you _remain_ an individual.

There is also no proof that my paradigm is the way things are.
However, it works better for me, it makes more reasoned and logical
sense to me, makes me more Free and responsible, and it grants me my
own Life and Will.

The separation paradigm also fullfills the "as above, so below"
postulate, because I have a Heavenly Family, Two Parents, A big
brother, and perhaps even Uncle Manifestation (form). :)

p.s.  if this essay has really upset you, then I suspect it is the
Mother's gift of your own will, inside you, asking you to take this
essay under consderation.  The usual choice when this happens, is
knee-jerk DENIAL, and dismissal out of hand.  Think/Feel about it.
