About the Author

Judith Herzfeld received her undergraduate degree at Barnard College, her Master of Public Policy degree at Harvard and her Ph.D. degree at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She has taught at Harvard Medical School and is currently Professor of Biophysical Chemistry at Brandeis University.
