Project Gutenberg collects and distributes electronic plain text works that are in the public domain in the United States (or other works for which it has gained permission.)
Many of the works that Eliot alludes to in The Waste Land are accessible at Project Gutenberg and this site has used many of them. However, since the texts were edited into HTML format and Project Gutenberg does not want to be credited with modified texts this has not been done.
