Who is - Ezra Pound - Dedication line 1

Ezra Pound (1885-1972) was one of the most important literary figures of the 20th century. Although born in America, Pound moved to Europe in 1908. From 1909 to 1921 he was in London where, in additon to writing poetry, he also advanced the careers of T.S. Eliot, James Joyce and others--editing their work, arranging for its publication, and even providing financial assistance. Pound's editing of The Waste Land was extensive and led to Eliot's dedication of the poem to him when republished in 1925.
