
Father Ouellette was born 25 August 1926. He is from the Lowell Highlands. A 1944 graduate of Keith Academy, he then went to the Holy Angels Collegiate Institute in Buffalo--the Minor Seminary of the Oblates. He then attended the Oblate Novitiate in Tewksbury, MA, where he professed his first vows as an Oblate, in 1946.
He then went to Washington, DC, to the Oblate Scholasticate, to pursue studies in Philosophy and Theology. He was ordained June 2nd 1952. While in Washington he also took science and math courses at Catholic University, which lead to his first assignment, teaching high school science in Buffalo, NY. After 21 years in the Buffalo area, Father Ouellette returned to Lowell with an assignment to Immaculate Conception Parish and St John's Hospital, as it was then known. Father Ouellette has remained at the Immaculate ever since, except for a four year stint at the Mother House in Tewksbury, as Treasurer. Father Ouellette is now an assisting Priest at the Immaculate.
