Movement Works-in-Progress is a series that assists experimental movement artists in showing and developing their work. MWIPs are designed to help artists get feedback on work that is still in process. Audience members are given index cards to write comments on after each piece. At the end of the show, the audience is encouraged to join in a round table discussion of each piece presented. People who are too shy to talk in front of a group can simply hand in their cards to the appropriate artist(s). This type of communication with an audience is rare and wonderful in its ability to aid artists in challenging their ideas, performance and presentation.
