I love the term "PionHeaded", BTW. Is it better or worse than "NeutrinoBrained"? Can a physics student please waste some time discussing this for our amusement?

Glad to oblige!

Quantum chromodynamics posits the existence of the QuarkHeaded. The possible damage these people could do to society is mitigated by the requirement that they be confined, usually to monster truck shows. Spontaneous breaking of chiral symmetry (as idealized by the sigma-model) gives rise to composite GoldstoneHeads. Interaction with the Higgs field (which transmits TV shows starring Geraldo Rivera) transforms these into the observed PionHeaded, which, although not completely without weight, are still bozons.

These are very, very different from the NeutrinoBrained, who, although very quick-minded, have trouble interacting.

I'm sorry.

Matt
