Well, DUH. That's why they had to put it in the Air and Space Museum. He was the museum's first director, and he commanded the whole place from inside his little command module. He'd only take his helmet off to chow down on some tasty, pumice-like Astronaut Ice Cream from the gift shop. Interns had to bring it to him, and they had to wash their hands if they had touched the moon rock you can touch.
