Jeff Conklin, best known for his foundational article on hypertext systems, worked with this project. It was used in the MCC Design Journal project to provide a computerized record of a software design process with special emphasis on capturing the rationale behind the design decisions through hypertext links among issues, positions and arguments. gIBIS is designed for color workstations and uses color to indicate node and link status.
