Nelson, Theodor Holm (1995). Where the Trail Leads [Abstract, Transcript, Video]. Presentation at As We May Think -- A Celebration of Vannevar Bush's 1945 Vision, An Examination of What Has Been Accomplished, and What Remains to Be Done. (Nelson, 1995)

Netscape and Xanadu [Transcription of Video]

Nelson: (Regarding his new Xanadu client strategy) If this transpublication notion is to be implemented, it has to be with a client strategy which is compliant with the Netscape model. It has to pass through the Netscape keyhole, and that means, on the two sides of it. Let us say, on the right hand, there is the nano servers with their micropayment, and on the left, you have a compositing client and keepage system with a transmission form and a transcopyright editor. Basically, that can all be comprised within today's model. But, it is a new start, and I am working on it. That is one of the reasons I am in Japan where a lot of the action is.
