Naomi Schmidt is Manager of Educational Planning and Support within MIT's Academic Computing Services. She is interested in the application of computer technology to higher education, and is currently involved in helping the MIT faculty import, develop, and use educational software on the distributed network of workstations that is the result of Project Athena. She has a B.A. in Mathematics from Barnard College and a Ph.D. in Physics from Columbia University. Prior to her work in educational computing she participated in Physics research and taught Computer Science at Brandeis University. (Hopper, 1993)
