Has anybody done any or know of any, recent research into the phenomenon
of corporate memory loss. IN learning org circles, I have found that
there appears to be a pre-occupation with knowledge acquistion and its
application but little focus on the corporate knowledge rentension process
and the problems that exist there, such as organisational memory loss.

What I have in mind are things such as : the relationships between company
structure, use/misuse of enabling technologies, evolving corporate
mythology, human resources management strategies, growth and globalisation
efforts, downsizing, etc with knowledge retention and knowledge
accessibility within the organisation.

I look forward to getting some feedback.
