Lean means the absence of waste. In Lean Manufacturing, you find JIT, pull
systems, flexible, cellular systems, pay for skills, focus teams, SPC,
etc. Lean Management would imply application of the same principles to the
management of the manufacturing system and its support groups.
I've seen many implementations to Lean with little change in management
structure, which is a shame, but not a tragedy.
