Hi Rose -- a book I like which is dated -- is called Beyond Rational
Management - Mastering the Paradoxes and Competing Demands of High
Perfromance by Robert E. Quinn. 1988, The Jossey-Bass Management Series.

I think this is one answer as to why organizations change -- it takes you
through developmental phases of an organizations life. It is wonderful --
I think.
