No, because analogies are never completed in the mind of the sender, only
in the imagination of the receiver. My thoughts were simply that the
center of a target attracts arrows. Should we choose to be attractors
then we should not be surprised to find other people shooting things
toward us.

Your nicely expanded version of this concept is a great example of why
analogies are a great way to open communication but a questionable way to
guarantee 100% accuracy in messages delivered.

However, to address your request here are some other target thoughts.

One can measure effectiveness in hitting a bullseye either subjectively or
objectively.

Targets sometimes overlap.

Some targets lie beyond others so an arrow passing through one might hit
(intentionally or unintentionally) another.

What if our goal is to avoid hitting the center of a specific target?

The size of the target makes up for the ability of the shooter.

Who shoots first? Why? How does the first strike affect those that
follow?
