Mark Peal wrote a wonderful post about the role of artists in
organizations. I enjoyed it very much.

I think, Mark, that our life is our own unique peice of artwork. There's a
poem called "Life Sculpture" by George Washington Doane, which I think
does a beautiful job making this point. I don't have the poem with me, but
if I get enough requests I'll post it in a message tomorrow.

That, I think, is what personal mastery is all about: Creating a
masterpeice out of our life! Everyone will produce something different;
some people will see things in other's work that perhaps even the artist
didn't notice. This, to me, is what makes life so meaningful.
