I agree with William Hobler's assessment of this list being a study in
self mastery. But not in the way he describes it. This list leads to
a continual examination of our values, concepts and beliefs.

William also said:

"There are participants who are passionate about a thread, even so
they share their passion humanely. There are participants who are
opinionated, yet honor and celebrate other's opinions. "

This, I think, is a result of Rick's faciliatation. I'm sure some
messages are not so humane and tolerant, and thanks to Rick's ongoing
work, we see only the ones that are of value to the participants.
(I'd love to hear Rick's point of view on this one...)

Let me share my thanks to Rick and wish a great 1997 to everyone on
the list.
