Replying to LO11369 --

In regard to meetings , Lon writes:' unless alternatives are learned,
practiced, and supported by the culture, they will never replace the
meeting."
Vital and strategic conversations are an alternative to meetings.
Guidelines for doing this well and creatively are in the most recent
System Thinker in an article by Juanita Brown and David Isaacs, titled:
'Conversation as a Core Business Process'.(Talk about good framing..I love
their title.)
I also learned more of the benefits and framework for ongoing strategic
conversations from the more recent (94 or 95) edition of 'The Art of the
Long View' by Peter Schwartz.(Global Business Network)
best to all, Fran Alexander
