Replying to LO11296 --

In response to AT's comments relating this to chemistry:

I once sat beside a molecular biologist on a plane. In the "what do you
do?" dance, I told him about my work on communication in organisations.
(face-to-face, human variety) When I finished he said, "That's amazing.
You could be describing my work exactly ... even to the same terminology.
What I deal with is how cells communicate, how membranes function, etc but
it's the same as what you're saying."

Now I didn't use the term community then but I'm sure I'd use it now and
it would resonate with his experience.

I don't know the word to use either but I tend to use "holographic" as a
part of a way of talking about it. I like very much At's "deep
community". This to me implies not just communication as in message
passing but the kind of communication where the whole message is contained
in any partial communication (deep relationship?) and also the structures
that have this occur.
