Very well said Rich! Jesus, I AM,or the Way is the author and perfector.
The one who loses his life will find it. If I have "lost my life", why
would I be concerned with what others do unto me? How can I know what is
best to be done unto me? How then can I know what to do unto others? I
"find my life" when I realize it is impossible to answer these questions.
I am no longer the author of nor the perfector of my ability to follow the
golden rule. I AM simply One with the Golden Ruler.
When one attempts to follow a moral code, one's success breeds arrogance,
then failure.
When one admits it is impossible to follow a moral code, one's humility,
breeds trust, then learning...then organizational learning.
Have a Great Adventure!
