Recalling an earlier thread on the problems with the functional silo
nature of our schools getting in the way of education, I have put an
article by Seymour Papert in support of his latest book:

The Connected Family:Bridging the Digital Generation Gap

The Roles of Computers in Schools

Basically, he asserts that the computer will educate in the home
because the schools have "functionalized" computer education too,
and destroyed its potential as an "enabling technology" for all subjects.

This is a must read for Marion and supports much of his position.
