It's been a long time since I read the HBS case on Visa and Dee Hock. I
only remember being impressed by the fact that Dee's leadership and
strategy were grounded in philosophy. The case was full of quotes from the
likes of Socrates (I can't even remember exactly who else). You can
imagine that Socrates doesn't make it into many HBS cases! You could
contact HBS Publishing at (617) 495-6117 to order the case, if they still
publish it.
