During the past several weeks, I have been out of even lurker status, but
I discovered a great issue of Fast Company during my frequent airport
stopovers. The lead article is on the founding CEO of Visa International
and his non-traditional ways of running organizations. He built Visa from
1970 until he retired in 1984.

The best quote to encourage you to seek out this issue is: "Peter Senge...
brought in Hock to help reconceive his MIT Center for Organizational
Learning...". Quote Senge: "Dee is one of the most original thinkers on
the subject of organization that I have run across"

It is nice to have such stimulating reading when I am too busy or lacking
battery strength to do LO justice.

Other samples in The October/November issue:
-How Knowledge Workers Vote
-When it Comes to Growing Talent, He's a Master
-Xerox Business Systems Learns to Grow

[Host's Note: In one of the photographs in the Xerox Bus Systems article,
there is a flipchart in the background with a systems thinking loop
diagram. It's a "Fixes that Backfire" case being used in a training
course. ...Rick]

..and many more too numerous to type! This comes close to being the print
journal for LO. FWIW...IMHO....Keith
