Two suggestions.

A learning organization is much like a jazz ensemble. Each player is
expert in their instrument. Each player practices to become better in
their instrument. All of them know the form and objective of their music,
they are trying to create a collective beauty.

When they are playing together they are striving to make their collective
effort better. At different times each of them in leading and all the
others follow. When one is leading the others are considering ways to
extend the musical thoughts of the leader. They are a team of individual
experts striving to be a better team.

I think that some sport teams are decent examples. In the US a great
basket ball team has the fluidity and fast paced cooperation among
experts. Watching soccer played by great teams one sees that unity of all
the players toward one goal.
