Hello,

My name is Curt Topper. I've been recieving the list now for several
months. Since I've finally broken radio silence, I thought I should
introduce myself.

I'm currently in my third year of a doctoral program at the Hienz School of
Public Policy and Management at Carnegie Mellon University. While I haven't
quite settled on a dissertation topic yet, it will likely have something to
do with organizational learning and innovation.

For the last four months, I've been working as an intern here at the Pacific
Northwest National Lab. I've been doing case studies of environmental
remediation technologies that have been developped here, and my search for a
way to frame the case studies has led me (with some encouragement from my
advisor here) to explore further the science of complexity. I'm interested
in organizational learning, organizational design, shared mental models
within teams, innovation, and future search conferences.

I live in Pittsburgh with my wife Christina (also an organization junkie)
and our two dogs, Merlin (a high-strung frisbee-catching border collie) and
Buddy (a siberian huskie-german shepard mix).

Cheers,

Curt
