AMED - The UK-based Association for Management Education and Development
has nearly 2000 members with a professional interest in the development of
people at work. It promotes best practice in the fields of individual and
organisation development, runs meetings and conferences and publishes the
quarterly journal " Organisations & People". Last year AMED set up a
bulletin board , but now plans to go on the internet via a mail list or
web site.

I suggested to AMED that we should first look to see what is available
already and cited learning-org as a fine example. So I got landed with
the job of collecting information on relevant news groups, electronic
conferences, web sites etc. on the internet that deal with or converse
about:

Management development
Human resource development
Organisation development
Open learning
and related topics.

A quick search on Alta Vista brought up too many answers (I must admit I
am not too skilled at that).

If any readers would care to e-mail me information of suitable sites,
lists, newsgroups, etc. I will offer to collate the information in two or
three weeks and then either make it available by e-mail or, if Rick
agrees, will post the summary in learning-org.

[For membership information about AMED, but NOT for this collection of
information, AMED can be reached at: amed.office@anet.demon.co.uk]

[Host's Note: Please reply directly to John on this one, not to the list
address. John, I'll be happy to distribute your summary here. ...Rick]
