Rick -- the subject I had in mind was inspired by a discussion/dialogue
conducted by Margaret Wheatley (which I unfortunately was unable to attend
but heard about) in Boston. I love one quote from the event which was
someone saying when he woke up in the morning he didn't know whether to
save the world or to savor it! The subject I had in mind was about large
system change. We have discussed a number of different systems and that
these systems need to change eg; government, healthcare, legal, education,
etc. Margaret was saying, and I believe this is inspired partially by
Bohm's work, that we need to think differently about systems change. We
tend to break things down, fracture systems in order to understand them --
sort of a reductionsit thoery. Her challenge was -- how do we take a
system as a whole and approach change that way?
In response to your other message Rick, I was not thinking or suggesting
that you be the moderator. I would do it or maybe someone else who has
more experience with Dialogue. The idea is that only one person could
comment on process while the experiment is in place.
