Replying to LO9290 --

John Gancz <perfesser@geocities.com> relates the biggest complaint:

>Had I been able to influence the situation I think that I would have
>attempted to refocus on important issues rather than urgent ones and
>proceeded to stress profit (not lowballing to win business that ended
>up losing money) and skills training (skill number one - how to be open
>and empathic with fellow employees and customers!).

Covey spend lots of time helping to focus the importance/urgency tradoff
and present several good mental models and lots of good stories to
reinforce this secret to success. The really important not very urgent
items requiring little used skills are the ones to get done! Cheers.
