I use story telling in the classroom too. I use the same name used by
elementary school teachers: Show and Tell. The different is this case is
that students need to search or find a story to tell, which has to be connected
to the "boring theoretical stuff" being discussed in class. There is another
assignment that Dave Fearon (Central Connecticut) and I have used too. We call
them Finds, and the are written "show and tells." Students tend to find a lot
of meaning in these assignments.
