Well said...it's not what happens to us that matters, it's how we
respond to what happens to us. It's a big different. We are in
control of how we respond to every day...we decide whether we are
going to have a terrible day or a great day! I really like how Les
Brown says: "Are you going to let someone else's vision of you become
your reality?"

Of this I disagree...words and our 'self talk' are probably the most
important ingredient to a successful and happy life. Of course, Joan
may be (and this is a more likely interpretation) that other's peoples
words will never harm me. Even in that, I tend to disagree. Constant
exposure to negative influences, comments, and words, can have a major
influence over time. It's called the compounding effect.
