Feng Shui =96 or earth spirits =96 is a central part of the geomantic=
traditions
of Asia =96 you'll see Feng Shui used in China, Korea, Japan. The Chinese
believe Feng Shui to be a "living environment" for determine the best site
for their homes, businesses and the best system of design for interior
decorating to create the most favorable environments for business, health
and relationships. Feng Shui is a means of controlling the magnetic flow in
one=92s home or office to increase energy, fortune and well being.

In Hong Kong especially, businessmen pay large sums of money to correct
their Feng Shui of their properties. If a building is known to have been
designed without the attention of a geomancer, workers will often refuse to
enter the building. If a firm is underperforming, attention quickly shifts
to the Feng Shui of the building =96 or the Feng Shui of a nearby new=
building
that may now interfere with the old one.

The developers of Canary Wharf in the UK used Feng Shui in its design. The
building is situated North and facing South which is good Feng Shui, meaning
that the general luck of the building will not fluctuate greatly. In front
of the building there=92s a small park which attracts chi, representing=
money.
At Canary Wharf, water on the right (east direction) represents money and on
the left (west direction) water signifies bad health and losing money.
According to Feng Shui, we=92re now in the lower round 7th fortune which
represents West, so in the West London area, business will thrive and in the
East London area will be less busy.

The central building is the tallest building in the area with nothing of a
similar height to balance and support it, thus the people working in such a
building will have to work harder to make money by virtue of their
isolation' therefore. The height of the building represents wood and the
topping triangle represents fire. The water element is represented by the
Thames surrounding the building. This helps the wood, which in turn creates
fire through the use of the triangle. Such connection of elements create
mental activity, improving the intelligence of those working there. You get
the picture=85

Chinese emperors believed that they could use the Feng Shui of the graves of
the deceased to destroy their opponents. Graveyard Feng Shui referred to
the positioning of the graves of one's ancestors =96 any positive or=
negative
energy affecting the burial site had a corresponding beneficial or adverse
affect on the future generations of that family -- so placing their
relatives=92 graves in the most auspicious position was of paramount
importance and desecrating the graves of their enemies' ancestors was common
practice.

Feng Shui is big business -- and taken seriously -- in Asia.
