Storytelling - great idea. I would like to build a library of stories
around specific issues. I have found Story telling a great
coaching/teaching tool for a variety of reasons: (1)Facts alone don't
teach; (2)stories help people make connections/associations between what
they already know (prior knowledge) and what they need to learn
(3)Stories involve the senses & the more connections that are made the
better( E.g. learning on the job or learning by doing is
multi-sensory learning).(4) Story telling also involves the emotions in
a positive way.

However, just telling stories that link to the subject at hand is not
as effective as linking a story to an expressed-need of the person being
coached. I am willing to bet that whatever organization we are in, we
encounter very similar coaching situations. I would like to expand my
story base and would welcome exchanges with the group.
