The question I would ask of those who are reading this thread about
intelligence and equality--even as I agree with many of the points made--is,
"are we talking about intelligence or intelligences?" Howard Gardner, whose
work I admire, would argue "intelligences". I would ask also, "is
intelligence something that can be learned, ergo enhancec?" David Perkins
argues yes.
The points raised by Barry Mallis on an earlier post--re: the division of
the society into haves and have nots--is a real danger to the "system", and
some would argue (and I agree) that that is happening now.
