I'd agree that few people use storytelling as a way to teach and share
lessons in this modern world. What is clear to me is the powerful
leaders, speakers and managers who attract positive attention in the
world can use stories to expand on concepts and truths.

An example of how powerful stories are in this modern world is the
success of "Chicken Soup for the Soul" series by Mark Victor Hansen &
Jack Canfield. It is 101 short true life stories compiled from
various people in North America. It was #1 on the best seller list
for a long time and the #2 book was "A second helping of Chicken Soup
for the Soul".

Seems our souls need stories...seems we really do crave stories...but
as Ken says, few managers share stories or even consider using them.
