My role at Merck is as an internal teambuilding/360 Feedback/OD type working
primarily with Merck management teams in the countries of Latin America and
East Europe.
Past experience is primarily in management development and training.
The Fifth Discipline Fieldbook has turned me into a radical on the subject.
We are actively using a technology/methodology from Russ Eisenstat (Harvard
Business School Cases on Becton Dickinson) as the primary focus of creating
learning systems in management. His clever use of the Fishbowl Design
serves as both "teacher" for managers and structure to assist learning orgs.
Additionally, I have had the opportunity to work on Merck's first major
attempt at using Lotus Notes to create dialogue and learning from our work.
Once upon a time I thought I knew something, then my daughter turned 15...
