Great story about the return of your computer. Experiences like that make
us all feel good about people. I had a similar situation last year in
which I left a computer and $500 in a bag in a shopping cart at the
grocery store in town. when I realized what I had done, I rushed back to
the store to find...it had been turned in to lost and found, money,
computer, and all. No name or forwarding address of the finder. He or
she just returned it because it was obviously the right thing to do, and
didn't even expect a reward.

I also agree with you about top management. The problem they have is
insufficient information, not lack of willingness to do good, nor lack of
willingness to take appropriate risks. They will be very appreciative of
someone who provides good information. this is particularly true when, as
someone pointed out, you provide them with information and let them form
opinions from it rather than giving them the pre-formed opinion. They
want to do that part themselves.
