About, the MBTI, Debbie has a good point in response to IQ vis a vis the
MBTI. any instrument for "personality" or personal style has to be used
primarily for one's own personal mastery. When I understand my own ENTP
(which used to be ENFP before I started this group!) then I know in what
ways I can 1) complement a team/organization and 2) strengthen and flex
with other areas of my type in order to accomplish objectives - when I can
create my own sense of awareness using the instrument I can then work
effectively to create shared vision and team. By the way - look out for
the "entegrams" yet another (though ancient) persepctive. When the MBTI
is used to say "this type" is the only type that can do thus and so - one
is using the inventory in an inaapropriate way. Even though certain types
will have a proclivity toward common activities, it also means that the
team may find itself bereft of diversity and new angles on the vision
Debbies right!

Perhaps there is an "OQ" Organizational Quotient - William Bridges has
attempted to something with this using Jungian types in the "Character of
Organizations" (Consulting Psychologist Press, 1992).
