Lisetta asks:
> What should be in a mission statement?
> What makes one effective, meaningful?
> What are the core characteristics?
The following adaptation from Tom Peters (Peters, Tom and Austin, Nancy
(1986), A Passion For Excellence, New York: Harper and Row) may be
helpful.
A mission statement should be:
- Roughly Right - it gives general direction and key values
- Enduring
- Succinct
- Memorable
- Believable
- Energizing to all
You may also find that AltaVista <http://www.altavista.digital.com> is a
richer search engine than the ones you've tried already.
Hope this is of some help.
