Replying to LO9130 --

I've been lurking for a long time, but Rick's posting on dysfunctionality
within organizations is so true to my experience of (multiple)
organizations that I had to reply.

I think that Rick hit the nail right on the head when he spoke about the
broken contract of trust. It seems to me, that between employees and
employers, trust and respect must be a two way street. And in my
experience, Dilbert's World seems pretty normal.

My question is this. When this type of dysfunctionality is ingrained
within an organization at all levels, what is the way out? Is it possible
at all to move to a healthier way of functioning?

This is a complicated question, because in this type of situation - not
many are willing to sit down and openly discuss problems.

Thanks,
